Academic Requirements For Undergraduate
For Malaysian Students:
- SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia): Minimum of 5 credits, including relevant subjects
based on the chosen program.
- STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia): Pass with at least a CGPA of 2.00 in relevant
subjects.
- Matriculation/Foundation: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 in relevant fields.
- Diploma:
Recognized diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 in a related field.
For International Students:
- High School Certificate (HSC)/A-Level or Equivalent: At least three (3) subjects passed with a minimum
grade of C.
- Diploma or Equivalent Qualification: It is recognized by the Government of Malaysia and is approved
by the UMPSA Senate.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
For International Students:
Applicants must demonstrate their proficiency in English through one of the following tests below:
- IELTS:
Minimum Band 4.0
- TOEFL (Paper-Based Test): Minimum score of 500
- TOEFL (Internet-Based Test): Minimum score of 30–31
- MUET (Malaysian University English Test): Minimum Band 3
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): Minimum score of 36

prior degrees from Malaysian institutions may be exempted from providing
English proficiency test scores.
