Completed Upper Secondary Education
You must have completed an upper
secondary/high school education that is equivalent to the Danish upper
secondary school leaving certificate (STX).
Examples of accepted qualifications:
- India:
Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) with appropriate subject
combinations
- UK:
A-levels with relevant subjects
- USA:
High School Diploma + AP courses (or equivalent)
- IB:
Full diploma (with Math, Science subjects for engineering)
2.
Subject-Specific Requirements
Admission requires specific
subjects at a required level. For most BEng programs, the following

Graduate
(MSc) Admission Eligibility – DTU
DTU offers a wide range of
English-taught 2-year MSc programs in engineering and applied sciences.
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- You must hold a Bachelor’s degree (BSc or BEng)
in engineering or a closely related technical/scientific field.
- The degree must be equivalent to a Danish 3-year
bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS credits minimum).
- Your academic background must closely match the MSc
program you're applying for.

Academic Relevance
You must have passed key subjects
(depending on program), such as:
- Mathematics (at least 20–25 ECTS)
- Physics
- Programming (for IT-related MScs)
- Thermodynamics, Mechanics, or Fluid Dynamics (for engineering
MScs)
Each MSc program has a detailed
description of required courses and competencies. If your bachelor’s degree is
only partially relevant, you may be rejected or asked to take supplementary
courses.

Grade Point Average (GPA)
- DTU does not specify a minimum GPA, but most
successful applicants have a strong academic performance,
especially in technical subjects.
