Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria for SupBiotech
- Educational Background
- Applicants must have completed their secondary
education or high school diploma equivalent to the French Baccalauréat.
- Accepted qualifications include international diplomas
such as:
- International Baccalaureate
(IB)
- A-Levels or British High
School Diploma
- American High School Diploma
(with recognized accreditation)
- Other national secondary
school leaving certificates recognized by SupBiotech
- Age Requirement
- Typically, applicants should be under 25 years of age
at the time of admission.
- Academic Performance
- Strong academic records in science subjects such as
biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics are highly recommended.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid foundational
knowledge in scientific disciplines essential for biotechnology studies.
- Language Proficiency
- As the program is bilingual (French and English),
proficiency in one or both languages is required depending on the study
track chosen:
- For the English track,
non-native speakers must demonstrate English proficiency through
recognized tests like IELTS (minimum 6.0) or TOEFL.
- For the French track,
non-native French speakers must show proficiency through DELF or TCF certifications
(B2 level minimum).
- Prior studies conducted in the language of instruction
may exempt applicants from providing test scores.

- Academic Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree
(or equivalent) in biotechnology, life sciences, bioengineering, or a
related scientific field.
- The degree should typically be equivalent to at least
180 ECTS credits or a three-year undergraduate program.
- Candidates with strong backgrounds in other science or
engineering disciplines may also be considered if they demonstrate
sufficient foundational knowledge relevant to biotechnology.
- Academic Performance
- A good academic record is expected, typically
equivalent to a second class upper division or better.
- Strong performance in core scientific subjects such as
biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and related courses is preferred.
- Language Proficiency
- Since many graduate courses are taught in English,
proficiency in English is mandatory for non-native speakers.
- Accepted English tests and minimum scores include:
- IELTS: 6.5 or above
- TOEFL iBT: 80 or above
- TOEIC: 785 or above
- For programs taught in French, non-native French
