·         Extras: No tuition paid at host institution; funding depends on your home university’s agreement with OsloMet.

2. Home-Institution or Incoming Exchange Scholarships

·         Eligibility: Students admitted via international exchange programs like Erasmus+, NORDPLUS, or other bilateral agreements.

·         Coverage: Varies usually administered by your home university, covering travel and living expenses

·         Note: OsloMet doesn't offer these directly; your home institution manages funding.

3. Student Loans & Grants (Lånekassen)

·         If your qualifications don’t fully match this standard, and you are 25 years or older, OsloMet may assess your prior learning and work experience  as a substitute

2. Language Proficiency

Norwegian

·         Required for programs taught in Norwegian.

·         Accepted certifications include:

o    Bergenstesten (Test in Norwegian – advanced level)

o     Norwegian upper secondary school course (e.g., Norwegian Level 3)

·         If the entire program is in English , Norwegian requirements are waived.

English

·         Required for English-taught programs. You must meet at least one of the following:

o    IELTS Academic: ≥ 6.0

o    TOEFL iBT: ≥ 78–80

o    PTE Academic: ≥ 51–55

o    Cambridge English (FCE/CAE/CPE): ≥ B2–C1 level

o     Other equivalent certifications like Telc English B2, ECCE/ECPE

·         Exemptions:

o     If you completed upper secondary or university studies in English in certain countries (e.g., US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Norway)
