Kaplan Bursary Scheme (local)
- Eligible to
Singapore Citizens & Permanent Residents enrolled in a Diploma,
Bachelor's or Master’s program.
- Eligibility
- Household per-capita income ≤ S$750/month, with gross
monthly household income ≤ S$3,000.
- Facing financial hardship (e.g. job loss, medical).
- Good academic standing; no other Kaplan
bursary/scholarship in the past year.
- Value
- Up to a full fee waiver for Diploma programs.
- Up to 50 % off outstanding fees for
Bachelor’s/Master’s programs.
- Additional info
- One-time payout; non-repayable unless studies are
discontinued or false info provided.

Kaplan Master’s-Merit Scholarships
- Eligible to
students enrolled in a Kaplan Master’s program; requires first installment
paid.
- Structure
(Top 3 cohort performers):
- 1st:
S$10,000
- 2nd:
S$7,500
- 3rd:
S$5,000
- Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in a Master’s at Kaplan; academic standout;
ranked within the top 3 of their cohort.
- Scope
- Partial tuition discounts; benefits apply only to
Master’s programs.

Education Grants & Rebates
- Kaplan often bundles Education Grants valued
between S$1,090‒S$6,540 (incl. GST) for select University degree
programs.
- Other incentives include:
- 50 % waiver on application fees
- Upgrader rebates (ranging from S$545 to S$1,090)
- Referral incentives (up to S$500)
- Note: These are one-time enrolment perks, not
recurring scholarships; recipients of Education Grants are not eligible
for other rebates or scholarships.
4.
External International Scholarships (for study in Singapore)
Kaplan itself doesn’t offer external
scholarships tied to its programs, but graduate students in Singapore may
pursue:
- Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)
- STEM PhD support at NUS, NTU, SUTD, SMU: full tuition
+ monthly stipend S$2,200–2,500 + airfare + settling-in allowance.
- Lee Kong Chian Graduate Scholarships (SMU)
- Full tuition + ~S$5,000/year living allowance +
S$1,800 grant.
- President’s Graduate Fellowship (NUS)
- Full tuition + S$3,000/month stipend + allowances.
- ADB‑Japan Graduate Scholarships (via ADB)
- Master’s at NUS: full fees + monthly subsistence,
books, insurance, travel.
- Commonwealth Scholarships (for PhD/Master’s at NUS)
- Fully funded, including living and thesis grants.
Note: These are not Kaplan-specific;
applicants must secure separate admission/scholarships at public universities.

Kaplan Singapore – Graduate (Master’s) Admission
Requirements
Kaplan offers postgraduate
(Master’s) programs in partnership with internationally recognized universities
from countries like the UK and Australia (e.g., University of Essex, University
College Dublin, Murdoch University, etc.). While exact requirements may vary
slightly depending on the awarding university, the general criteria are:
Academic
Requirements
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
discipline from an accredited institution.
- For business or management programs, a degree in any
discipline is often accepted.
- For specialized programs (e.g., IT, Psychology),
relevant academic background may be required.
English
Language Proficiency
Applicants must meet one of the
following:
- IELTS 6.0 or above
(overall score, with no band less than 5.5)
- TOEFL iBT 60–80+
- Kaplan’s English Placement Test (where applicable)
- A previous degree taught entirely in English
(subject to approval)
- Other equivalent qualifications may be accepted on a
case-by-case basis.
Work
Experience (if required)
- Some programs (especially MBAs or executive Master’s
degrees) may require 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
- However, many standard Master’s programs do not
require work experience.
