Eligibility criteria
Undergraduate admission into Trinity requires an international second-level qualification such as the International Baccalaureate or the A-levels. Some other national curricula such as Indian Standard 12, Malaysian UEC, ATAR are also accepted for direct undergraduate admission.
Applicants for all undergraduate programmes must present an English language qualification
Postgraduate admission Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree (60%) from an Irish university, or an equivalent result from a university in another country.
Some courses may have more specific requirements or require you to take further tests or attend an interview. Details of course-specific requirements can be found on the course profile pages.
Accommodation
On Campus
Located in the heart of the city, on-campus housing is located in either the historic buildings in the centre of the campus or in more modern developments further east. Trinity’s iconic campus gives students an opportunity to experience a unique and memorable housing experience in the beautiful environs of the 400-year-old university.
Trinity Hall
Trinity Hall is an official residence of Trinity College that is recommended for all students but particularly for new entrants to College.
Kavanagh Court
Trinity’s newly opened, top of the range student accommodation at Kavanagh Court in Dublin 1 is just a 15 minute walk to College and is available for a 38 week occupancy from 4th September 2020.
Binary Hub
Trinity has additional accommodation at Binary Hub in Dublin 8, located close to the Guinness Brewery and just a short walk to College. It is available for a 40-week occupancy from 5th September 2020.
