Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) was created by the merger of several educational institutions. Its origin dates back to the establishment of Nottingham Government School of Design in 1843. This design school is still a part of the university. NTU received its current name and the status of a university in 1992. This public research university is the UK's 13th largest university. It consists of eight academic schools, each accredited by the relevant professional body or organization. NTU has four world-class campuses across Nottingham in England, UK. City Campus has Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Business School, School of Architecture, School of Art & Design, Design and the Built Environment, the Centre of Broadcasting and Journalism and School of Social Sciences. It houses many international students and an excellent team of qualified faculty members.

Eligibility criteria


English language entry requirements

To meet the University’s language requirements you’ll need one of the following:

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (Standard XII)
  • 70/100 (70%) or 160/200 (80%)

Masters degrees

Grades of 50%+ from recognised universities in India

Three and four-year Bachelors degrees

Grades of 55% (2.1), 50% (2.2) from the University of Mumbai, University of Kolkata and University of Delhi.

Grades of 60% (2.1), 55% (2.2) from other recognised universities in India

Accommodation


International students are guaranteed a place in University-allocated accommodation if:

  • One has accepted a place on a full-time course
  • One has made us your first choice university
  • One has booked before 31 July
  • One has provided a £200 deposit.

If this is the case, you can choose to stay in any of our residences. This could be a University-owned hall of residence, a hall of residence run by our partner providers or private companies, or accredited shared housing.
